Denise Duval is a lawyer with a long history of advocating for Baltimore’s communities. After starting her career at Venable, Denise specialized in housing and community development law at the Community Law Center. She taught in the Community Development Clinics at the University of Baltimore School of Law and the University of Maryland School of Law. Denise worked as the Deputy Housing Commissioner for Baltimore’s Department of Housing and Community Development. As a volunteer, Denise has served on the boards of many community organizations, including Citizens Planning and Housing Association (CPHA), the Mt. Washington Improvement Association, Baltimore Efficiency and Economy Foundation (BEEF), Public Justice Center, Friends of Great Kids Farm, and Baltimore Green Space. Denise is the Co-Chair of the Service and Social Justice Committee at her Church and is a mentor with Thread.
